| 2005 R1200RT with 2008 Hannigan LT
sidecar - "Clifford"
New sidecar tug rebuilt from insurance salvage wrecked bike with a
Hannigan LT sidecar mated to it.
Still working out a few minor bugs, but we have taken it on a 820
mile weekend spin up to Duluth Minnesota and back already last winter... (Jan 31st,
2008) The extra electrical power for more
heated gear has been appreciated!
Also ran out to the West coast and back on it this summer (Jun/Jul
'09).
Took the bike as a solo out to Colorado, Wyoming, S.D. and back in
July of '08.

2002 R1150R(A) - "Blaze" Owned since
new in July 2001. First blue ABS model off the boat from Germany.
(Gina had to trade another dealer to get it for me. Thanks Gina!!!)
Has taken me to all corners of the USA smoothly and reliably.
From the Deserts of the SouthWest, to the historic sites of the
NorthEast. Carving the curves of Deal's Gap on the way down to
Florida. And all the way up to the shores of the Arctic Ocean at
Prudoe Bay Alaska on the gravel and mud of the Dalton Highway.
And it has done so looking good the whole way. What more could
you ask for from a bike???

| 1986 R65 Monolever - "Betty"
Purchased as self-defense so that I would still have a bike in the
garage to ride!
Found in 2006 with only 9,600 original miles! And you would cry to
know how little I had to pay to become the owner of this gem of a
bike...

Now searching for my
"Birthday Bike"... Wanting to find a Beemer that came off
the production line the same time that I did, June of 1963.
Unfortunately, my actual birthday was on a Saturday, so I will never
find one that was completed on my exact birthday. If you
know of one that is available for sale, please let me know! |

Past Bikes - I loved them all... (more to come...)

The above photo was taken at the
high point of my BMW motorcycle ownership days. The herd continues to
thin out these days... <Pout!>

| 1982 R100RT - "The FrankenBeemer"
Lovingly owned and cared for over the course of 12 years and 97,000
miles...
This rig was modified and customized by me a little at a time over
the years to the task of pulling a sidecar and was/is very well set up
to that task. Every change was done to address a specific need of
sidecar usage and improve upon it.
Some of the special features included the addition of a 450watt
EnDuraLast charging system to allow extra lighting and heated gear to be
used. Upgraded wiring and relays on the headlights to boost light
output. A complete stainless steel fastener kit to protect against
the ravages of road salt. And a custom reverse gear transmission!

2007 BMW R1200RT
Another great deal as an off season purchase after the original owner
had dumped it, and was going to be the new sidecar tug since it had
traction control as well as ABS and all the other goodies. But I
had ended up with two identical model bikes for the same purpose, and
one had to be sold to generate income to finance the sidecar project.
This one generated more interest than the Red '05, so it was the one
that was eventually sold.
T'was a Shame really, it rode nice... And the traction control
would have been great for the winter sidecar duty!

| 1995 R100RT Classic - "Beauty" The last
of the airheads. Sold to finance the new sidecar build.
|
1996 R1100GSA - "The Beast" Sold after
car accident due to bad knees and tall seat being a bad combination...
|
| 1989 R100GS Bumblebee - "Binky"
Totally gone through after being bought as a true basket case bike.
Was going to me my new adventure bike, but my bad knees and finances
forced me to sell it to some other lucky soul...

1974 R75/6 - "Babe"
|
| 1993 R100RT - "Shadow Dancer" Simple
elegance in basic black, knocked out from under me when a teenager spun
out in a curve I was rounding at the same time. Total loss, total
shame...

1990 R100RT - "The Kraut Kruiser"
Burmuda Blue, my first Beemer. You never forget your first...
(photos pending) |
| 1977 R75/7 - The Rat Bike... Butt ugly,
but with 108,000+ miles on the clock and towing a sidecar through the
winter it never failed me once. What more can you say...

1981 Yamaha XS400 Special - "Lynn" The
redhead that you have to kick to get turned on... (inside joke
about an ex)
Got me through college & many winters after on two wheels!
Would always fire up on the first or second kick regardless of
weather/temp/etc... Rebuilt and given to a friend as her wedding
gift. |
